"More quality oddness from Colin Robinson" - John Hatch

"Bathtub Existentialists is ACE!" - Zulu J Dalek

"Quirk-out the soundtrack to your day with some discombobulating incidental music from the incomparable Mr Colin Robinson. This has been a public service announcement." - Kenneth Brown

"Musical nutter Colin Robinson strikes again with another weird collection of mostly short, odd noises from biased FX, 6224 Gretzch and Kitkat delay machine - for fans of Radiophonics who are in a hurry!" - Simon Partridge

"I was thinking Captain Beefheart meets Delia Derbyshire and R2D2 - lovely stuff" - Richard Woodcock

"I like it because Robinson is not trying to sound like someone else." - Shawn Sutherland

"I listened to your new album and I got to tell you I don't know what it is you do when you record but you know what the f*ck you're doing because your sound is the best sound of anybody that on any recording I ever have and I am not blowing smoke up your ass I am telling you the God's honest truth keep doing that because your work is amazing it is weird as hell but it is amazing I swear to God there was one song that was Star wars C-3PO and R2D2 playing along with you on guitar because there were bleeps and an electronic sounds that reminded me of them and I just had to tell you that because you know what you rock my friend your work is amazing thank you for continuing to do what you do and although I have sh*t for money right now I will tell everybody about it" - Micheal Inman.

"English avant-garde musician Colin Robinson keeps it short on Answers on a Postcard, the new album by his one-man project Jumble Hole Clough. The instrumentals are explorations of free jazz and Krautrock having a tug of war with West Coast melodies - And The Sea Did Sway sounds like a Brian Wilson demo that would freaked out Mike Love. Robinson's body of work is fiercely idiosyncratic and his ability to pursue each musical whim that comes to his mind.

The lifes of scientists and artists as well as everyday events in his hometown Hebden Bridge and household items can be sources of inspiration. He can write a song about carpets (Wall-to-wall Moquette) and straight-faced radio and television presenter (Nicholas Parsons Knows).

Answers on a Postcard is more melodic than its mostly ambient precursor Bassoons and Women's Coats, but there are plenty of mystery sounds and vignettes to enjoy. The meandering Afloat In Essays with the intertwining bass and guitar lines and the BBC Radiophonic workshop meets funk of Friday 13th Part 8 show his unrelenting versatility. Few musicians release more than one album on a yearly basis nowadays, but Robinson never seems to run out of ideas to pursue." - Hans Werksman, Here Comes The Flood weblog

"I particularly enjoyed 'Afloat in essays'. Bit like an Angelo Badalamenti /John Barry mash up theme tune to a new BBC downtrodden detective makes good type series." - Michael Riches

"Brilliant and imaginative with audiophile quality." - Jeff Eacho

"Inventive, silly and very enjoyable!" - Alex Stone

"Delicious avant garde exotica, constantly surprising, inventive and yet still quaffably listenable, and shot through with humour and wry surrealism. Imaginary bands from the 60s, retro futurist soundscapes of quality and taste. Jumble Hole Clough ladies and gents, a warming cup of Yorkshire tea while time travelling to the past and the future." - Phil South

"A Veritable Garden of Unearthly Delights" - Mark Joell

"Listening to the complete album throws me back to the excitement each new Eno album gave me back in the 70's. Great stuff !" - Steve Andricks
